For Advisors

A Transaction Resource for Your Clients

We are typically introduced when a client is approached by a buyer or begins considering a sale.

At that stage, important decisions are often being made informally — information is shared, expectations anchor, and leverage shifts before a structured process exists.

Our role is to provide deal leadership so your client understands their real options before committing to one counterparty.

When to Introduce Us

You may consider introducing us when a client:

  • receives direct interest from a strategic or financial buyer
  • asks whether an offer is “fair”
  • wants to explore a sale without disrupting the business
  • has multiple shareholders with different liquidity goals
  • is spending increasing time managing a potential transaction

Early involvement typically preserves more options than late negotiation.

How We Work Alongside You

We do not replace existing advisors.

You remain the client’s primary advisor and continue leading your area of expertise.

You advise on planning and implications
Legal counsel manages documentation and risk
We manage buyer behaviour, sequencing, and negotiation dynamics

Our role is to make your advice actionable within the transaction environment.

Why Deal Leadership Matters

In privately negotiated transactions, outcomes are shaped less by valuation analysis and more by process control.

Without active deal leadership, transactions commonly experience:

  • retrading after diligence once alternatives disappear
  • extended timelines that distract management
  • shifting information requests that transfer leverage
  • structural terms that move risk despite unchanged price

These occur because the buyer is managing the process and the owner is reacting to it.

We keep the client in a decision position rather than a responding position.

Scope of Involvement

We are engaged only for the transaction.

We do not provide tax, legal, or investment advice, and we transition the client fully back to the advisory team at closing.

Our objective is to support your client through a complex decision while preserving your long-term advisory relationship.

Introducing Us

Most introductions are informal — a brief conversation before a client responds substantively to a buyer.

We are happy to speak confidentially with you first to understand the situation before any client introduction.
